The Siren - Painting by John William Waterhouse

I wrote this song many years ago for a wedding. We recorded it several years later at Jamie Bridge’s studio (Room With a View) with just me on guitar and tons of harmony vocals.

The song sat on the shelf again for several years, unforgotten, until I re-discovered it and decided to add it to the new album, “Soul to Soul” which will release in early-2024.

I sent it to Dave MacNab, who added the wonderful acoustic guitar solo.

And then a funny thing happened: legendary record producer Stuart Epps (https://stuartepps.co.uk/) heard the song on MusicXray (where I had uploaded the demo) and contacted me.

I’ve never had a record producer before – always just produced my own recordings because there was no budget for a producer!! Anyway, I really wanted to see what would happen, so I very happily handed the song over to Stu and trusted him to add his magic - and decades of expertise - to my song. Stu added his piano playing, and added a new drum track performed by the marvelous, Martin Ditcham (!)(https://www.martinditcham.com/) (wow!)….I am so honored to have these two gentlemen on this recording….

And I love it! I hope you do, too!
